I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Boston Consulting Group (Peking, Peking) in Oct 2018
Interview
I applied through campus recruiting, and interviewed in Beijing, China. There is a "pretalk" session before the first round interview in Mainland China offices, and about 20%-25% of the candidates would be invited to the first round interview. The process is really quick, they will call/email you the result same day, and the next round is usually the following day.
I passed the pretalk, but didnt make it to the final round. Candidates in Beijing are mostly students from Tshinghua and Peking university. Pretalk is basically behavioral questions and "mini cases" - market sizing, pricing strategy, etc. First round is back 2 back - One conducted in Chinese, one in English. I would say as for the cases, one is more qualitative, one is more quantitative.
Overall experience was good, people from BCG are generally really friendly and willing to provide some guidance during the interview.
