      Cabin Crew Interview

      Apr 10, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Heathrow, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at British Airways (Heathrow, England) in Mar 2019

      Interview

So you arrive at their HQ, waterside, which is a bit of a hassle to get to since it is outside of Heathrow but not too bad as you can get the staff bus. Once you arrive, you sign in . And then the patronising fakery begins. All of the other candidates, who have most likely read online that the interviewers are watching from the get go, will try and suck up to all of the other candidates and it is nauseating. You are then ttaken in groups for height and arm reach tests and this takes quite a while as there’s so many people.... After a short presentation about the company, Ithen had my group excersise, whilst some others had their role play excersise first. The group excersise was horrible and as there’s so many confident people there, if you are quite shy it will be very hard for you to shine in this exercise. We had to design a programme that would reward both staff and customers and everyone was talking over each other and just saying any old nonsense. Afterwards, there was the role play which is usually to do with someone completely unrelated to cabin crew. I had to be a car dealership receptionist. After everyone has done all these exercises they divide you in to groups and they tell one group that they will progress to the personal interview stage, and the other that they need to go home. I was told to go home, and to be honest I was glad. The interviewers were hard nosed, unpleasant and rude , not to mention arrogant. But worst of all, were the other candidates. Even in such a short time they were catty, two faced and fake. However, if you’re quite tough and very confident you will probably succeed. Whilst I was at the assessment day I realised quite how much I lacked confidence, and I think that is why I failed. All of the candidates who were on the shyer side got sent home, whilst all of the very confident, verbose people got through no matter how annoying and rude they were.

      Interview

I applied on January for the cabin crew talent pool (Heathrow), received an email 4 months later to complete the online assessment, I'm now waiting for their response. The assessment was fairly easy, you just have to remember their company values.

      Interview

Submit application on website, attach cv. Once accepted, complete the online assessment within 3 days of receiving the invite. (Maybe Psychometric style and situational judgment) British Airways do change the assessment types so bare in mind.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Given random scenarios with a choice of most effective answer to select. The assessment has nothing to do with the job role or the actual airline.

      Application

      Interview

Starts with a group of about 25 people, then have to do a height and reach test accompanied by reading out a script to one of the interviewers to prove your english speech. Then have a group task with half the group to see how you interact with others. Then half the group are sent home and the other half go through to individual interviews.
