I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Broadcom (San Jose, CA) in Jan 2011
Interview
In the beginning, I was phone-screened by hiring manager. After one week, I was interviewed with the group of the engineering and asked technical question, and introduction of myself. The third time, I was interviewed by director of the group. All of them were nice and didn't ask trick question, but very detailed in technical questions.
