I was invited to apply for the position via LinkedIn. The process was through the smartrecruiters website which was able to copy information over from my LinkedIn profile which made the application process much quicker and easier. It is also a good platform to watch the progress of your application.
I was then invited to partake in a video interview in which 10 or so questions pop up and you are given 2 minutes to answer them. These are generally related to your experience, I'd suggest sitting with notes to the side of the screen.
After succesfully passing this round of the selection process, I was invited to an on site interview at CERN. The team were so helpful with travel and any questions I had were answered. The itnerview consisted of a 7 minute presentation on myself and my career and roughly 50 minutes of interview questions from a panel of 5. Once this was over I was taken to the job site and met the team who all spoke through their roles and answered any questions I had about working life, this was a great aspect to the interview process and really gave a good insight into the company.
When the day was over, I headed to the canteen for lunch and had time to look about the visitor centres on site.
