I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Canva (Auckland, ) in Aug 2018
Interview
I was contacted within a week of applying to schedule a one-on-one chat with an in-house recruiter over hangouts. We talked about my work history & I was asked some technical questions about javascript.
After this, there was a one hour technical interview with one of the front-end engineers. This was done via HackerRank.
The final interview was a 3 hour technical interview with several software engineers.
I'm going to leave out specifics about each of the interviews as these were supplied in great detail at every step.
Overall a great experience. Everyone was lovely & expectations were laid out very clearly.
No take-home.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If you had to rank your skill level in terms of HTML, CSS and JS, how would you rank them?
I got an email asking me to do coding test in js, expected to be problem related to website outlook building but actually is more about algorithm, in a less difficult way. There are 5 questions and if you get enough preparation, its likely for you to finish 4/5 easily.

kinda like they wanna build a schedule system, the employee will provide the date and hours that they are available, and you need to build a algorithm that be able to fill all the possibilities of the empty day in a week.
