Interview
I wasn't into the interview stage, but Canva noticed me a lot about why they refused me. As a large scale company, they being fair for every applicator, if in the future, there's another chance I can apply for them, I still try it.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Canva (Melbourne) in Jul 2023
Interview
Within a day of the job announcement, I immediately submitted my resume on the company site. I went through 2 zoom chat. The first one, I got some general questions. In between, I did a take-home design challenge and handed in by 7 days. I got the second interview 10 days later, during this chat the recruiter congrated me on successfully getting the job and provided me the feedback of my challenge from their team. Overall, the recruiter was very friendly and was able to ask and answer clearly. The most impressive part was they providing feedback of the test and paying you to do it, it makes me feel respected.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Q1: Tell me about yourself. Q2: What is your design process within the design team? Q3: Have you worked on template before? Q4: How much notice are you required to give your current employer? Q5: Do you have any further questions? Q6: What's your visa status? After this chat, I got a take-home design challenge which can be divided into 2 part: Part 1: A branded template set with gift certificate, IG reels, and tote bag Part2: A resume Both of them got a design guideline already, so the only thing I need to do is the layout.
