Step one of a four step process was a 30min chat with recruiter. I was asked very general questions, and despite asking for clarification, they did not give any additional context to allow specific answers or relevant responses.
Only feedback provided was that they didn't have enough information to assess my suitability.
Was repeatedly told I "should be proud" to even get to a first interview due to the number of applicants, which is incredibly patronising.
Interview was recorded without any heads-up, information, or opt-out.
The role has been re-posted 3 times, giving me the impression they either don't know what they're looking for, have no consideration for people's time and energy, or are just collecting resumes.
Will not be applying for a role at Canva again.
It was very well organised and fast. After the call with the recruiter, I had 3 rounds of interviews organised over a couple of weeks. All the interviewers were engaged and asking interesting questions.
I enjoyed the interview process because of how cordial and polite the interviewer was. One thing that stood out to me was her referencing one of my experiences that I mentioned during the interview process that I hadn't mentioned on my resume. It shows how attentive they are and care to know their individual candidates.
