The interview process began formally, with structured questions and a set agenda. However, as the conversation progressed, it shifted to a more relaxed tone, allowing for personal anecdotes and casual discussions. This informal atmosphere fostered a genuine connection, enabling both the interviewer and candidate to share insights about their experiences and interests, ultimately making the interaction feel more like a friendly chat than a traditional interview. The relaxed environment encouraged open dialogue, leading to a more authentic exchange of ideas and values, which helped both parties assess mutual fit beyond just qualifications.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Capgemini Engineering in Mar 2025
Interview
Quite confusing process, first HR Talent explained me that the position was based in React but she didn't know almost anything else, second she sends me to another HR Talent more specialized in the german client and she was also not able to answer with precision much of my questions.
Then I told them that I'd refuse to continue but the first HR Talent convinced me to try the next interview as the client liked my profile. Ok, I go for this interview and the client asked me questions on Angular, what? Didn't we talked all time on React based applications?
It's quite chaotic, I know Capgemini is outsourcing company but you shouldn't allow your client to change on opinion any time and defend your brand. I felt like I'd be on my own 100% and Capgemini just taking the money, disappointed.
