Three rounds of interviews, two of them are case based to assess technical knowledge (first case is relatively easy, calculation needed), one is mainly behavioural questions with the team leader
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Capital One in Oct 2011
Interview
Company had people set up in waiting room answering questions and explaining process. Did a one on one interview that was a case type interview. Case consisted of a question pertaining to the employment verification of credit card applicant and weather or not this was a cost effective measure. You had to calculate the amount that was being gained by having the program and the costs that were needed to run the program. Overall it was a very good experience. The case was not extremely hard and the proctor was gauging how you solved the problem and you as an over all person.

1st round was 45 mins. Simple case (profitability and basic business acumen) plus a bit of behavioural
2nd round was in-person; networking dinner the night before, and then two back to back interviews (an hour long case and a 30 min behavioural)

Question 1
For the case it was breakeven calculations and basic business questions (e.g. what are the risks and mitigations associated with this venture...)
Do case study questions. If you got an interview invitation, you will receive case studies examples, and they will ask similar questions during interview. After this, will have about 15 minutes behavioral questions. Why capital one? Introduce yourself...
