I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Mar 2015
Interview
two rounds with the first round being a case study at the university that they recruited from and the second round consisting of a behavioral interview, job fit interview, and another very different case study at their virginia office. it was all one on one interviews. the people were very nice
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What would you do if you did not know the answer to something on a project that had a short deadline?
Three rounds of interviews, two of them are case based to assess technical knowledge (first case is relatively easy, calculation needed), one is mainly behavioural questions with the team leader
1st round was 45 mins. Simple case (profitability and basic business acumen) plus a bit of behavioural
2nd round was in-person; networking dinner the night before, and then two back to back interviews (an hour long case and a 30 min behavioural)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
For the case it was breakeven calculations and basic business questions (e.g. what are the risks and mitigations associated with this venture...)
Do case study questions. If you got an interview invitation, you will receive case studies examples, and they will ask similar questions during interview. After this, will have about 15 minutes behavioral questions. Why capital one? Introduce yourself...
