I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cisco in Mar 2009
Interview
Phone interview to 1:1 was within a week. Because I was an employee referral for the postion the phone interview was more of an introduction, description of the position and the hiring manager reaching out to understand my background. A 1:1 was scheduled within 2 days. I did a lot of research on the position and the market position of the product/service I was going to sell. Absolutely necessary. Have many accomplishement stories available if you are not good at thinking on your feet. I provided several but there were many requested. I would say culture is driven, targeted at overperformance.

I've applied online and shortly after I've been contacted by a Cisco recruiter whom I had a short, yet thorough conversation with. Mainly it was around my experience and the role itself for making sure it was a fit. As a next step I've met with two BU leaders who I am supposed to work with once at regime. We've had a very open grown up conversation about both the market itself and the strategy at high level during which I've answered questions in regards of what I see as a trend at the moment and what are my predictions for the foreseeable future. As a last step I met with my prospective line manager and once again the conversation was centred around strategy and best practise.
I genuinely enjoyed the whole process as these guys really seem to be great people to work with and they made my excitement for the role growing through the roof at each step!
