I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cisco (Bengaluru) in Apr 2015
Interview
The interview process was really good till the HR round started. All technical and managerial rounds done in one day and after that they told me to go HR will call. After 3 days i got a call from HR asking for some documents. After another 3 days got a call from Cisco staffing asking same old HR questions. He asked me my expectation, i told him and then he said that HR will call me for further discussion. I had fared well all the rounds so i was expecting an offer or at least a negotiation if my expected salary was too much. But i did not receive any call from HR. I tried calling the HR many times but the call was going on voicemail. Finally i sent a mail asking for feedback after which HR called me in bit of rage asking me about when did i call her. I explained to her everything that had happened after the interview day. She said that my expected salary was not in their budget so they did not call. I told her that since i had devoted so much of time to this interview process i deserved at least a negotiation. To which she said that Cisco doesn't do any negotiation which is complete lie. She filled that position without even discussion with me that whether i am really lower my expectation on salary. And after that a really pathetic excuse. Really did not expect this kind of low level time wasting experience from a company like Cisco. Everything happened just because of that lethargic HR. Completely disappointed.

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Cisco (Reading, England)
Interview
I was asked to visit their offices for the first round of interviews. The environment was laid back and the interviewers were friendly.
The process started with the two software engineers asking questions relevant to my CV. At that point I had the chance to talk about past projects that I did, technologies that I used and the such.
The interview process then continued with the interviewers asking some theoretical technical questions relevant to programming languages and operating systems.
Finally, I was asked to write a couple of algorithmic pieces of code.
In the second and final interview, I was interviewed by the position's manager. The questions were HR-like, such as how I would resolve conflicts in the work environment and technical (for example how would I attempt learning a new programming language, what methodology would I use).
