I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Co-op (Aldershot, England) in Jun 2016
Interview
Quite straightforward face to face interview. The only negative I felt was having to complete an online training package prior to starting the job which they insinuated this should be done in my own time. They could have paid me for my time doing this, but I'm sure they would rather not have.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Talk about your previous experience in the industry and what you can bring to us?
Brief and from a checklist. Informal chat in the office with a senior member of staff during working hours. Elements of health and safety were addressed as well as general workers rights, and some processes required for staff to apply while working were outlined.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Co-op (Addlestone, England) in Jul 2019
Interview
I applied for the job online and got an email about a week later, with a link to a website where you book your interview slot. The interview took just under an hour and was with the store manager who is lovely and friendly. It involved answering questions both about my past experience and some scenario question, then I had to walk around the shop floor for five minutes and write down things I noticed that didn’t look good (such as untidy shelves, cages left unnatended), and then feed back to the manager. I then got given a product (raspberries) and was given some time to look at the product, and was then given thirty seconds to sell it to the manager. I was offered the job at the end of the interview.
