I applied online. I interviewed at Co-op (Brighton, England)
Interview
Fairly relaxed interview, questions about why you want to work there, what you've been doing over the last few years and then "can you tell me about a time..." questions
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What have you been doing for the past few years? Why would you like to work for Co-op? Can you tell me about a situation where you had to build a relationship at work? Can you tell me about a time when you had to stand up for your position in a difficult situation? Can you tell me about a time when you had to communicate important information to other people at work? Can you tell me about a time where you've involved others to discuss a challenge? Can you tell me about a time when you've taken ownership of a task/activity/project and made it a success?
In store with Store Manager in a back kitchen room. Competency questions, questions about life and experience. A really good conversation overall, very disappointed about questions regarding my uterus and home life.

Question 1
‘Are you going to have any more children?’ Very blunt delivery and sat with pen attached to the paper.
Thank you for sharing your experience of interviewing with us. We're very concerned to hear what happened during your interview. We've shared your comments with our Talent Partner to look into this but it would help if we had more detail, please email retailcareers@coop.co.uk and we can investigate thoroughly.
The process is first assessment and you get a candidate report if it shows that your skills are aligned with the role then most likely get an interview and then shortlisted against 30 other candidates
