I applied online. I interviewed at Co-op in Apr 2019
Interview
Applied online and got an email sent to me asking me to book in to an interview slot, the slot being an hour. Yet for the actual interview I was done in less than ten minutes. The email also tells you that you should study up on who the Co-op are, yet my interviewer told me all about co-op instead. Disappointing interview as the interviewer didn’t seem interested and pretty much wanted me out the door, rushed through the interview and never shook my hand on the way in or out which is just basic manners. They asked basic questions first like ‘tell me about yourself’ and ‘what have you been doing for the last few years’ along with the ‘why do you want to work for us’ then they went onto the scored questions. They’re based on the five competencies that they tell you about in the email, which is ‘building relationships’, ‘being confident’, ‘clear communicator’, ‘succeeding together’ and ‘getting results’.
Overall a really disappointing interview and a waste of my time. Know they held interviews on the Saturday and Sunday and mine was on the Tuesday but if you’ve already decided who you want to hire either don’t make me come for the interview or give me the decency and respect of actually acting like you care about the answers I’m providing.
I applied online. I interviewed at Co-op (East Leake, England)
Interview
Over an hour long, a great talk delving into my strengths and how I can best adapt to the company's values and game plan for the new year, without being overly flowery.

The interview process was very calming, I didn't feel anxious or nervous about the interview, it felt like a conversation between two people rather than a high pressuring job interview which I really enjoyed.
