Co-op interview questions

The interview process consisted of about 10 questions that were quite extensive and in-depth. Each question required detailed answers and often involved explaining past experiences or walking through how I would handle specific scenarios related to the role. The interviewer clearly wanted to understand not just what I’ve done, but also how I think and approach challenges. Even though the questions were difficult and required a lot of thought, the interviewer was very polite, friendly, and professional throughout. They created a comfortable atmosphere, which made it easier to stay calm and think through my answers. The interview felt more like a meaningful conversation than a test, which I really appreciated.

Very personable interviewer, immediately put me at ease, although some set questions, felt more like a ‘chat’. Asked my preferred hours, early or late start etc. I had no retail experience, but interviewer said they go more on attitude and life-experience (I’m in my late fifties).
