An online questionnaire that was designed to assess your reaction to a lot of store scenarios. The questionnaire gave me positive but not perfect results, and therefore they would keep me on record but not consider me further. The thing about a lot of the scenarios in the questionnaire is that a lot of companies deal with those issues differently, and if you have not yet worked for X company, it is impossible to know how they'd prefer you to handle those situations. Maybe I was too generous? (There were questions about when people are a couple of pennies short) Maybe not forthright enough? It's impossible to know as no real feedback given. All in all I tried hard but found it a waste of a lot of time, especially when you are job hunting, which takes a lot of time in and of itself, getting no feedback for a test that took a lot of your time feels very fruitless.

Question 1
A scenario about a regular customer wanting a newspaper but having forgotten their card to pay and getting annoyed.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts about the assessment. It seems there might have been some confusion about the results as you did pass the assessment. We shortlist candidates for face-to-face interviews based on the top scores, usually picking the top five for each vacancy. While you weren’t in the top five this time, passing the assessment means you’re in our candidate pipeline for future opportunities.
The assessment is based upon values and behaviours, so you don’t need any specific knowledge about our business or the role.
Thanks again for your review and we wish you luck in your search for employment.
It was really long, a lot of having to chase up emails for a response and not a lot of flexibility around dates and times. The actual interview was pretty quick and standard to what you’d expect.
Thank you for your review. We're sorry that you had to follow up with emails to confirm the interview date. That doesn't sound like the usual experience our candidates tell us. Our store managers allocate a range of dates and times and you would be provided with a link to choose a date and time that works best for you.
I applied via indeed where i had to answer some questions mainly about customer service. I also filled out how many hours I would like to work then was called to an interview where I met with a manager in store.
