set up interview, arrived on time and easy chat with manager. discussed working hours, job role, duties, salary. Manager gave a clear understanding of what was expected, what training given etc
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Co-op (Long Sutton, South East England, England) in Feb 2024
Interview
Microsoft Teams call, interview lasted 4 minutes overall as the hours wasn't stated on the job description and I wasn't suitable for the role. It would be beneficial for both parties for job adverts to contain vital information such as expected hours, especially if it is 6am starts and 11pm finishes.

Question 1
Would early morning starts and late evening finishes be suitable
Thank you for leaving a review of your interview experience with us. As standard all our retail roles have screening questions when you apply for the role. There is a specific question that states...
As we’re a convenience retailer, our stores are open at times that suit our customers. Are you happy to work a variety of shifts which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends and bank holidays?
You would have had to respond Yes to this to have been considered for the role, which would also have had the hours required in the advert. It's important to answer questions honestly in the application process to avoid being put forward for roles that you cannot commit to.
Professional and not too formal. Interviewer was friendly and easy to talk to. Lasted about 30 mins. Told me when I would hear back. Questions were pretty standard retail stuff.
