Interview
My interview was part of the campus placement drive. Students who made it through the online aptitude test were selected for the interview round.
Interview questions can be categorized into 3 categories: HR, technical, and managerial. May include some core-related questions also if you're non-IT background.
Started with a brief intro and questions about education, academic project, and the choice of major.
This was followed by what I know about Cognizant. A simple google search about the company, the CEO, and any latest news would suffice.
Next was the technical part. I had mentioned in my resume that I was familiar with basics of C++ & Java. Interviewer asked me which language I was more comfortable with. Gave me an array-based coding problem and asked to explain the logic to him. You will also be asked to share your screen and code in the provided space. Asked some OOPS concepts also.
Apart from this, you can expect 2-5 numerical aptitude questions also.
Lastly some questions like - why do want to join Cognizant? What makes you think you'll be a good fit?
Also, you can go ahead and ask if you have any questions for the interviewer.

The interview focused heavily on my projects, asking about design decisions, challenges, and real-world use cases. I had to explain my thought process clearly. It was a practical and insightful experience that tested genuine understanding.
4 rounds before the interview which inckuded - 2 oa - 1st aptitude ,2nd technical, then 3rd coding round then voice assesment after clearing all these i got selected for interview , then hr then for a formality there was a bot interview in which i faced technical error and i got rejected after clearing 5-6 rounds they reject my application my efforts because of the system error
