I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Cognizant
Interview
Campus Recruitment: Direct Interview round. It was a stress interview. The interviewer didn't ask any questions from the resume. All were general HR questions and no questions from IT. Other than the drilling by the interviewer for all the answers I gave, the interview went pretty smoothly.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cognizant in Feb 2014
Interview
Easy. Online test(AMCAT) followed by technical Interview and then HR interview. Most questions were based on Java and oops concept. If you are from CS/IT background expect it to be a bit more than that. For others its all on java basics like inheritence, polymorphism, encapsulation, . Some questions on database like what is normalization, 1NF,2NF.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cognizant (Chennai)
Interview
There were two rounds of interviews - one HR and other technical round.
My technical round was more focussed on the projects I undertook at my engineering and the core subjects of study. The interviewer asked me to develop few programs in C/C++, which wasnt very tough. He was more interested in the logic I followed rather than the exact syntax and semantics.
HR round was more about my interest in joining the organisation and how well I fit culturally. Overall the experience was good and relaxing
