I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Cognizant
Interview
Round 1- Online Test (Aptitude and Pseudocode)
Round 2- Tech and HR interview (Face to Face interview)
I was selected through my campus placements conducted by my college. Slight preparation in the above mentioned topics are enough to clear.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cognizant (Toronto, ON) in Jul 2022
Interview
This whole process took 30 days, with 3 rounds of interviews.
I was approached by HR from Cognizant for a role in SDET which was aligned with my overall experience. The HR was in hurry as it was an immediate requirement, and I finished both rounds in 3 days
1st round was easy with questions including API testing, website and other Java-based questions.
2nd round included similar questions and was taken by someone from the client side.
After this there was no information from HR about results. After 10 days they informed as below "The hiring manager actually place this position on hold until forward notice."
Then after a day HR called back saying they want to go ahead and they extended an offer, but the role mentioned was different this time Automation Quality Analyst.
1 week after salary discussion HR called again saying they to do another round with the clients.
I accepted because they told there could be a salary increase based on this round, 3rd round.
During this round, 2 people connected. Only 1 person(Murali Nandipati) was asking questions.
The questions included topics which were never mentioned in the Job Description and even after telling them I don't have any experience he kept asking the questions from the same bucket. It was clear that he didn't want to hire me.
Such a waste of my time and a bad experience it was to interview for Congnizant.
