Interview
Having recently completed the interview process for a Software Engineer position, I’d like to provide a comprehensive overview of each stage and share my experience. The process was structured, thorough, and aimed at assessing both technical abilities and cultural fit.
1. Application and Resume Screening
Objective: To identify candidates who meet the necessary qualifications.
Application Submission: I submitted my resume and a tailored cover letter through the company’s online portal.
Screening: Within a week, I received an email from a recruiter who had reviewed my application and was interested in scheduling an initial screening interview.
2. Initial Screening Interview
Objective: To evaluate basic qualifications and interest in the role.
Phone Interview: This was a 30-minute conversation with a recruiter. We discussed my background, relevant experience, and why I was interested in the position.
Questions: The recruiter asked about my current role, specific projects I had worked on, and my familiarity with the technologies listed in the job description. We also discussed salary expectations and availability.
3. Technical/Skill Assessment
Objective: To assess technical proficiency and problem-solving skills.
Online Coding Test: I was sent a link to an online coding platform where I completed a series of algorithm and data structure problems within a specified time.
Homework Assignment: I was also given a take-home project that involved building a small application using the company’s tech stack. This was due within a week and aimed at assessing my coding style and problem-solving approach.
4. First Round of Interviews
Objective: To dive deeper into technical skills and approach to work.
In-Person/Virtual Interview: This was a one-hour session with a senior engineer. We discussed my take

the interview is done virtually by cognizant executive , the interview is continued upto 90 mins and questions were asked based on programming languages that we mentioned in resume and also on the domain knowledge

First round: Aptitude test with time limit and section wise cut off.
Second round: One to one interview on latest technology and HR round
Must have all the educational documents ready before interview and should have a valid passport and pancard
