      Tier I Tech Support Interview

      Jun 17, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Conduent in Jun 2017

      Interview

I applied online. About 2 days later they sent me an email about taking an assessment which ranged from technical questions, typing test, and English language. The assessment took about 1hr30 approx could have been a bit less. But the technical section was a long one. After that I got an email that a lady wanted to interview me via the phone. I set up a time with her and she called me which lasted about 30 minutes. I was told I was moving on to the second interview and she set it up for a few days later. That went well, she asked me about devices, what kind of experience I have (do I have experience in technology), a few brief questions about the job, and some behavioral questions. She stated at the end of the interview that I was moving to the third interview and she gave me the time and date by the time we ended the second interview. The third interview was the next day in the afternoon. The interview started by the guy asking me if I could a speedtest on internet speed, which I had already provided early in the interview with the first recruiter. I had told him my computer was in the other room and then he stated ok then will do that later. Then he told me about the job and if I had experience in this. Then he asked me specific questions on the device and I knew how to answer them as I own many devices like it. So I definitely passed that section. Then he asked me about some behavioral questions. I feel at this point he didn't like my answers or possibly how I answered them, bcz my feeling going in was that in the beginning he was sounding like he wanted to job offer me and at the end it ended with a recruiter will contact you within a week about next steps. I was thinking to myself this is weird bcz I have heard they will let you know on the third interview. At that time I knew I would be getting a rejection from the company, just didn't know when. I spent so much time interviewing with the company to be let down. 1st interview (phone call) 30 minutes. 2nd interview (virtual) 40 minutes. 3rd interview (virtual) 25 minutes. Time for assessment 1 hr 30+. The next day after the 3rd interview I got the rejection to my email at approximently 24 hours from the time of my interview the day before. I was discouraged, bcz it clearly was qualified. In the email it said they want with someone else. I also feel like the last recruiter was sort of bias when taking the interview. I dressed up and the interviewer was wearing like exercise clothes (tshirt).

      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Conduent (Atlanta, GA) in Jun 2023

      Interview

When you join the interview you'll be asked to do a speed test with Google Fiber. You'll email the results to the recruiter. For the results you need to have at least 10 download and 3 upload. Then an overview of the company and position will be given. Next, I was asked four interview questions. Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer, tell me about a time you gave exceptional customer service, tell me about a time you went above and beyond, and finally, tell me about a time you had to take on something new and how did it turn out(can be unrelated to work). Afterwards, you'll be asked to show your work location. Working from your bedroom is fine. Just make sure the computer isn't set up where someone can look through the window and see what you're doing. I was offered the position on the spot. I interviewed 7/3 with Will F. He was very informative and easy going.
