BEWARE of this place. I had been selected to do a phone interview but after doing research on Glassdoor, other sites, and getting feedback from current and former employees, I had two questions for the HR recruiter:
1. Is it true DXC doesn't do merit increases?
2. Is it true DXC is attempting to outsource it's operation to India?
I said I wanted answers to these questions before moving forward, but all the HR recruiter did was send me a meeting planner for the phone screen with the hiring manager. I told the HR zero I wanted answers to my questions first. His response was as follows:
"To answer your questions, first, DXC has only been in business since April 2017, so I don't know if we can even speak to that as of yet. What may have been in place in the past, is not necessary whatโs in place today. For the question about moving work to India, that is not the case. They made an effort to actually bring things back onshore."
My reply:
"You โdonโt know if you can even speakโ to an question about merit increases? This makes no sense. Iโm not asking for your compensation figures...the answer is either a simple yes or no.
Based on your lack of response coupled with the overwhelmingly negative reviews on DXC from various job boards (see GlassDoor and Indeed), Iโm not interested in pursuing this any further. I have no interest in drinking from the fire hose in a sweatshop..."
To be fair, I was dealing with an HR recruiter who didn't know that the eastern time zone was an hour AHEAD of central, not behind (his excuse: "my brain's fried). The disingenuous reply confirmed everything I had heard about DXC...it doesn't seem to be a healthy place at all.
