I applied through college or university. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Dell Technologies (Jaipur, Rajasthan) in Aug 2018
Interview
The first round was aptitude followed by hackathon and finally the HR round. This time, they were recruiting through a hackathon where we were told the questions 6 days in advance and teams of 4 were formed RANDOMLY. It was one of the most unfair and pointless recruitments I have ever seen. The coding was to be done on 21st of August in a hackathon for 8 hrs and the final ppt was to be given on 21st, The process was horrible! They didn't knew anything about what part an individual played in the project. They just randomly picked ~25 people for the HR round and most of the people who actually developed the algorithm/code were not even shortlisted for the HR round. They were in a lot of hurry as they had to catch a flight back @6 pm on the same day. RESULT - They selected people who did absolutely nothing in the hackathon/project. LITERALLY NOTHING!People who were very very good at ML were sitting without the job and some random students were offered the job. One of the worst experiences I have came across.I feel like DELL didn't even deserve good students this time.It was 0.00% technical skill and 100% luck.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They just asked if the project even woks or not. They didn't even bother to see if the prediction is correct or if an individual has even contributed in the project.
