I interviewed for Dell Technologies’ NextGen Sales Academy (NGSA) program, and the process was very thorough and well-organized from start to finish.
The process started with a recruiter screening call, followed by a Super Day with three back-to-back interviews. Dell does a great job preparing you — they send detailed prep materials ahead of time and clearly explain what to expect. The first three interviews were strictly behavioral, focused on teamwork, problem-solving, and customer interaction scenarios.
The final interview combined behavioral questions with a sales role-play exercise. The role-play was challenging — they give you an object or product that you have to familiarize yourself with, and you’re expected to deliver a sales pitch on the spot. You cannot fake your way through it or read off a script, so preparation and confidence are key.
While I ultimately was not selected, I appreciated how professional, organized, and transparent the process was. My only critique is that after studying and preparing so much, not getting the role felt like a waste of effort — but it was still a valuable learning experience and gave me insight into what Dell is looking for in future sales leaders.
