I applied in October 2017 for the graduate scheme in UK audit. I did the online Deloitte assessment by early November. However, my profile wasn't a correct fit and Deloitte notified me that they would be progressing candidates who most closely match their profile first. I was then put into the Deloitte 'Future Opportunities Talent Pool' from end of November onwards. Every 2-3 weeks, I would receive an email on vacancies available to choose from and it is highly competitive as I transferred 3-4 times to various vacancies. In the end, I managed to transfer to public sector audit in February and was given 5 days to complete the Deloitte job simulation. After that was done, I waited about 2-3 weeks before an interview was arranged. The interview was the most enjoyable interview in my life. I had rehearsed my competencies really well before, but somehow I decided to go free-style and it paid off. The interviewer did ask me questions based on what the HR has given him. After 90 minutes of interview, I got my offer on the same day as I told the partner I had another position waiting for an answer.
