The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Discover in Jul 2019
Interview
Contacted by a recruiter then had a phone interview. It took about a week to have an interview with Discover. The interview was scheduled at 9 am via conference call. However, no one was there on the line while I waited a bit. So I reached out to my recruiter to see what was going on. Then, about 2-3 hours later, I receive an email from recruiter that there was a technical issue. That was quite unprofessional because I could have at least learned that there was an issue within 30 minutes of the scheduled time instead of 2-3 hours later. What was so hard about letting me know first? Need more respect for candidate's time.
Eventually I was able to have an interview with two people on the line (sounded like both interviewers were connected from different locations). The sound quality wasn't really great so it was hard to understand.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Discover (Riverwoods, IL) in Jul 2019
Interview
Internal referred by current employee, about one week later I got the email from HR to schedule a phone Interview. Phone interview took place another week later and the whole process took about 30 minutes
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Discover (Riverwoods, IL) in Oct 2019
Interview
Probably one of the worst interview processes I’ve had. Interviewed with 5 people who read the same HR mandated questions literally from a piece of paper. They then were filling out the paper to send back to HR. No personalization at all. I answered the same 6 or so questions over and over. Definitely not what I expect from such an established company. Complete waste of time.
