I applied online. I interviewed at Discover (New Albany, OH) in Apr 2013
Interview
mostly situational based questions. it started as a brief phone screening, then the recruiter asked me to come in for a face to face interview. they also sent an email with a skills review test to show how well the applicant can multi-task as this is a fast paced work environment. After the in person interview I waited about a week to hear back. When I was told I got the position they did not have me start immediately, because they are such a large company they start the training process in groups. There were about 30 individuals in my training class.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Discover
Interview
The HR recruiter emailed me with a set of questions, no phone call. Everything was done via email which I thought was odd. Once I received the job offer, she tried to low ball me, even though she was aware of what I wanted. I have heard some pretty awful things about the HR at Discover, especially the recruiters and the lack of talent they find. They need to beef up their HR department, people are fleeing left and right.
