I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Discover (Wilmington, DE) in Feb 2017
Interview
I was interviewed by the hiring manager and director. They both were extremely pleasant. They gave me a good overview of the expectations of the position.
This position is relatively new and may change as they work to define what's best for the company.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Discover (Salt Lake City, UT) in Jun 2016
Interview
They sit you down, and basically ask you a series of questions. The individual that interviewed me spent a good 45 minutes with question after question, then proceeded to decline my interview. I called the department manager directly because I felt I was treated unfairly, and the DM agreed with me and proceeded to employ me
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Discover in Oct 2016
Interview
I applied for this role through an employee referral and received an email from the HR within 5 days. The HR wanted to know my background, qualifications and salary expectation before scheduling an interview round with the hiring manager. I had to give these answers in the form of an email. After sending the responses, I did not hear back from the recruiter for almost 2 weeks. I emailed her twice to check my application status (whether I've been rejected), but I did not receive any response. After almost 3 months, I got an email from her saying "Thank you for the time you invested in the interview while we are sorry that we have selected someone else for this position"
I never gave any "interview", nor did I receive any feedback from the recruiter. It was highly unprofessional on her end to not have a simple ethic of responding to a candidate (when she has emailed a couple of times)
