Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked mostly about my relevant experience and how I approach problems. Seemed like they are interested in both culture fit and relevant experience.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Discover (Deerfield, IL) in Jan 2023
Interview
I applied for the position on the company website. Two days later I received an interview request, and I had a Zoom interview a week later. My interview was with a senior manager, who explained that they were going to give me an overview of the department and the position. And if they thought I was a good match, I'd interview with a direct manager. To be honest, the interviewer did most of the talking. I would interject from time to time to convey that I had experience in the topic they were covering and/or to convey that I was interested in the position. The interviewer was very cordial. It sounded like the department was well-run and they had reasonable expectations for employees and deliverables. My experience with the recruitment team wasn't as smooth. I was working with a recruiter and a scheduling coordinator. One week after my interview, I received an email from the scheduling coordinator asking for a second interview. I was to send a preferred day and time to the scheduler. I did that and I received an interview confirmation. I then received a message from the scheduling coordinator saying that the second interview request was sent in error, and they were still doing initial interviews. I was supposed to disregard the message. Then the day I had scheduled my second interview (the one that they cancelled), I received an email from the scheduling coordinator saying that they had to reschedule the intervew and they would send me a new interview date and time. (?) I was confused so I sent an email to the recruiter requesting clarification, and heard nothing back. A couple weeks later I received an automated rejection email saying I wasn't moving forward in the process.

Question 1
I was asked standard stuff, such as tell me about yourself.
I applied online. I interviewed at Discover (Washington, DC) in Jan 2023
Interview
4-5 series of interviews with department heads and they will ask behavioral questions with 4-5 questions each. The questions were not really tied to the role and needs to be streamlined to better fit for the role. It could be a lot better than it is honestly.
