Got direct call from the HR talent acquisition team and scheduled and coordinated the process.
There were four rounds in total as,
1> Technical telephonic interview with panel of 2 people
2> Skype round with project manager
3> Technical Skype round with client panel
4> Skype round with delivery manager
First round was a through technical interview round which lasted for more than 1+ hour. It covered almost all technologies like language, web, scripting and others from beginner level to advanced level.
Second round with the project manager was surrounding the processes and other understanding in general but then he went onto odd grounds which did not make too much sense for me.
Third round with the client was moreover with the technology stack they were interested in and was completely technical
Fourth and the last round was with their senior management that they usually seem to go with before releasing any offer which was again more to do with processes, unit testing, code quality etc.
Good parts with the process was,
1> They are flexible with interview timings though there were a few hiccups scheduling client interview.
2> They give a good offer in terms of salary expectations.
There were a few bad things to look at as well like,
1> Company infrastructure is in too bad shape.
a> A 2 way video Skype call does not work well so you can guess that they don't have a proper internet line.
b> No properly working headsets or machines which have video calling capability and they still insist on video calls. They actually gave me a headset which had only microphone working and I had to hear through desktop speaker.
2> Attitude is not well from Management or HR towards attendee.
a> My very first interaction with the project manager left me with the immature thought process of the person holding such a position.
b> With HR, when I refused the offer since it was not at par with the position I was looking for (although offer was good in terms of salary) he could have went on with his search as we were not into an agreement. The HR continued and tried to humiliate me with some made up non sensible feedback telling me why I am not a good fit for the role. They could have dropped me if I was not a good candidate in first place.
Finally the company might be good for a fresher to start their career and gain some industry exposure but considering company size, infrastructure and overall process won't suggest it to someone with professional experience looking for stable / long term career.
