I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at EY (Bengaluru) in Sep 2021
Interview
This interview was for the - Strategy and Transactions team in EY GDS
The first round of interviews went well. The second round of interviews was truly humiliating. The interviewer maintained a condescending tone throughout the interview. I couldn't answer a case study question because I didn't know a specific industry detail (the tolerance level of an airplane engine). In response, the interviewer gave unsolicited feedback, stating that I should have known this because it is common knowledge. When I replied that I would do some research and become acquainted with it, he said that this is a basic self-awareness question. The interview was then abruptly terminated without even attempting to test my knowledge or experience.
I'm highlighting this experience to emphasize the importance of management understanding how to deliver feedback while also respecting each individual's line of work.
This is a question for everyone: Does self-awareness entail knowing the intricacies of everything around us? And are we doing away with the concept of a learning curve?

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at EY (Neu-Delhi) in May 2026
Interview
I had interviewed for a Manager role at EY. I already informed them during the initial call that I have a total of 6.6 years of experience. After that, they scheduled my L1 interview round, which I cleared successfully. However, I was rejected in the L2 round because they were looking for candidates with 8+ years of experience for a leadership role.

Three interviews spanning a month; there was efficient scheduling over email. All interviews were virtual and the interviewers had escalating seniority... everyone who I spoke with was pleasant. medium-plus difficulty
