Applied to the position while at my university's career fair. A week or two later I received an email requesting me to sign up for a phone screen and take a couple online assessments. One was a personality assessment, and one was a 'proctored' logic-based test. You had to sign up for a time on a website, and then you'd basically video conference with one of their employees who would ensure you weren't cheating. The exam took a little over an hour, and it tested how well you can pick up basic programming logic and had other logic-based questions as well. The phone screen was with a person in the role you're applying to and pretty simple. They ask why you like the position and why you're interested in Epic. That was really the only question they had, as it was mainly conversational for you to learn about the role and company. Come prepared with a good amount of questions to ask to show that you're interested. After a couple days when all of those were finished, I got an email for an on-site interview. I replied with a couple preferred dates, and they got back to me within a day or two with information. I flew out there a day early, stayed in a hotel in downtown Madison, and got dinner with an employee and three other candidates. The next morning, they pay for a taxi to their headquarters in Verona, which is about 30-45 minutes away. You get to meet with people in your role to learn about it, you get lunch with another one, you have a 30-minute interview with people in your role, a case study with a group of candidates, a 30-minute interview with HR, and I had to do a 10-minute presentation (Project Managers Only). Overall, the day runs really smoothly, and it is a very positive experience. It truly wasn't very stressful; I felt like it was made for both parties (employer and applicant) to see if the job would be a good match for each other.
