      Technical Services Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Epic (Verona, WI) in Jan 2019

      Interview

Filled out an online application and quickly was asked to schedule a phone interview and take 2 assessments (general programming and basic math skills) and a personality assessment. The phone interview was pretty standard interview questions: where do you see yourself in 5 years, are you willing to relocate to within 45 mins of Epic, etc. About a week later I was offered an onsite interview and asked to hear about a QA position as well, which because of my schedule was scheduled about 3 months out, but could have been much sooner if I had wanted. The onsite interview consisted of a company overview, position overviews for both TS and QA, going through a case study for both positions, free lunch in the cafeteria, a tour of part of the campus, and then an HR interview and a coding assessment. The position overviews were in groups of 3-6 applicants where we could ask questions about the job and learn what each position does. The case studies were a chance for you to learn more about what each position does and kind of put yourself in the position, and also for the person going through the case study with you to ask you more questions as a less formal interview, I feel like here I got the more fun interview questions. The HR interview was pretty standard. The coding assessment was pretty difficult if you don't code regularly but you can use pseudo-code, it seemed to be more about how you think through the problems as opposed to does your code actually work perfectly
