I got contacted on LinkedIn. The Interviewer was adamant about getting a figure for precise compensation even before we had a short call. After repeatedly denying the request because I had no idea about anything, whether it was fully remote or not, including 0-24 availability. She then proceeded to give a precise figure that is the maximum (lower than the industry average for such a role) and asked me repeatedly to confirm that I would be okay with that. So, I felt like I had to commit to a specific salary without discussing the job or other benefits.
