Interview
They contacted me for a 30 minutes interview via Webex. Two people were present and they were very nice. The interview was quite casual and pleasant. I didn’t get accepted for the unit I interviewed for but I received a placement offer for another unit without any contact beforehand later on.

Question 1
Tell me about your background. Why do you apply for the Commission and especially our unit? How do you work in a team? They also asked about basic knowledge questions about the area of expertise of the unit.
Long compilation of the application form. You have to answer to several questions, some of them specifically on your CV and past experiences and some of them specifically on the position you are going to apply for.

Interview
Competency interview. The interview was tailored to the specific trainee position vacancy and aimed at accessing knowledge about the policies of the specific unit in the Directorate General. The interview was about 25 minutes long.
