Expedia Group interview questions

There was an online assessment round. I received it one week after submitting the application. There are two questions, one is easy, one is medium level. It's ok if you can't solve all the questions completely.

I had applied via referral and the referee put in a good word with the hiring manager but then the next day I got a rejection. It was very weird that a day before the hiring manager reached out and the referee had a good conversation and I got a ding without an interview.
