Interview
Contacted by a recruiter 5 months after I applied for a remote agile coach role. The position I was contacted for was a hybrid gig in Springfield, MO. He called about 5 minutes late and offered no excuse. He was very jocular and talked way too much - zero listening. He asked me where I was in the country and to go over what I was looking for in the job. Before I could even start to respond, he started talking again ... a lot... and when he did shut up I explained to him that I applied for an opening months ago and at that time it was a remote gig. He cut me off and said "oh, well if you are not looking to relocate, then thanks for your time." I never said I didn't want to relocate (and I'm more than willing to relocate). He was so unprofessional and basically a jerk on the phone. I figured if this is what Expedia has as an introduction to their culture, I didn't want to bother. The job sounded great but first impression was bad enough that I passed on this.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Expedia Group (Boston, MA) in Mar 2022

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
describe your approach to the case, tell about a time you made a mistake etc
Interview was done via phone call. I was emailed a contract offer as an Independent Contractor. I also went to the office for a tour and to meet the franchise owner in person before making a decision to sign. The office visit was optional. It is definitely beneficial to visit the office and meet face to face.
