I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Expedia Group (São Paulo, ) in Sep 2018
Interview
I applied online on Expedia's website. After my resume and cover letter was accepted I was sent a video interview to complete (HireVue Video) I had to answer to about 11 questions then submit them, you only have two chances to record each question, many of the questions was related about myself , habits and skills. After one week to two weeks I was invited for an in-person interview at their office and also a group dynamic, there were 7 candidates, they created two groups (hotel x inn) and each group had to convince them to invest in their business, after the group dynamic I talked with two area managers for about 15 minutes each. In the following week I was interviewed by the area director (video interview) we talked for about 15 minutes and in the following week I received a job offer.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Expedia Group (Seattle, WA)
Interview
I applied for several UX positions at Expedia I believe in October last year. I had a couple follow-up interviews: one that was a screener with the recruiter and then one with a UX Manager. They seemed to go well and I was told I’d get follow up information from the recruiter, but then I heard nothing back. I then reached out once every couple weeks to the recruiter and when I did get responses, they were along the lines of “we’re still looking over things and will get back to you soon”. I was pretty understanding at this point, since Expedia seemed to be going through a huge hiring spree.
Well after several times reaching out, the recruiter finally got back to me and I had about three more interviews (these were all phone and video interviews by the way, since I was living in California and applied for jobs in Bellevue). After all the interviews, they scheduled me to fly up and interview in person! They set up the flight and everything for me, which was nice.
I did the interview (which while I was interviewing, I found out the interviewer/ux manager was going to another team which kind of threw me off), flew back home, and.....nothing! I got absolutely no word back from Expedia. I found this extremely odd, especially since they had invested so much in me. Not even a rejection notice?
Well...I eventually checked my application status after giving up, and turns out I wasn’t selected.
It was overall a very time-consuming and confusing experience. I really was excited for the opportunity because the company did seem to have some smart and friendly employees, but if the company operates anything like their interview process...it’s probably a good thing I’m not there!
I interviewed at Expedia Group (London, England) in Jun 2018
Interview
I applied via linkedIn and the interview process started in June. Had a phone screening with the recruiter and after 3 weeks was called in for a face to face interview with a hiring manager. Immediately the next day got an email from the recruiter that they would like me to meet other stakeholders for further round of interviews. This was scheduled in August. There were 4 rounds in total meeting various stakeholders related to the project. They were all very cordial and I felt the interview went well. Questions were mostly competency based and nothing too difficult at all. The whole process took almost 3 months during which I had taken 3 days off from my current work and travel to London to attend these interviews. As it went cold after a week, I followed up with the recruiter around first week of September and was told that, a few interviews were rescheduled for other candidates and it will take a week to finalise. It is now end of September and still I have got NO response from them.
It is totally fine if they have found a suitable candidate but for a company like Expedia you would expect them to send you a feedback on what the reason was for no selecting, especially after wasting your time for so many months (not weeks or days but months)
