I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Expedia Group (Boston, MA) in Sep 2016
Interview
It was lengthy with phone, skype, and in person interviews. Nearly all questions were situational, describing past experiences, and I was also asked to assume myself in the position and see how I would handle different scenarios.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Expedia Group (London, England) in Feb 2016
Interview
The process was straightforward and the HR representative really friendly and helpful! The 1st stage of the process was the application (CV+cover letter). This was followed by a 15 min phone interview with the HR. In a day or two I was informed that I had 3 days to complete a project in Java (the concept was to device a data structure that would store hotels images). In less than 3 days I received an email about the final interview dates. The assessment centre included a technical interview (brief review of the previous stage's project + whiteboard coding interview), a CV-based interview, and a discussion with the director (this was not an interview, though). They responded the day after with the offer, which I accepted!

Q: Split string with multiple delimiters and implement a class/structure to store/retrieve the needed information. Take into account aspects such as efficiency, scalability, etc.
