Their recent People and Culture Manager (Germany) was around 15min late for a 30min interview and quickly appeared after I've emailed them, asking if they would like to reschedule (I give them the benefit of the doubt that it's a coincidence). I've asked this because I assumed they would want to spend some time to actually talk to me, considering I was invited for an interview after all. However, I had around 10 minutes to summarise my experience and motivation, which naturally led to some stress. It felt like the interview was done only for the sake of it (or perhaps avoiding a bad review?). Considering that I've worked in HR, I keep wondering why was I invited to this interview at all? It definitely left a bitter taste in my mouth and made me feel a little bit worthless. In my opinion, HR should consider a more empathetic way of operating, due to all the layoffs that are happening recently.
