I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments
Interview
Applied online and had 4 separate interviews during the process.
1) Invited to a digital video interview.
2) Phone Screening interview with a talent acquisition recruiter, which lasted about 45 minutes.
3) In-person interview with the assistant branch manager and one of the financial consultants at the branch. It lasted 1 hr.
4) In-person interview with the assistant branch manager and a branch manager from another office, which lasted 1 hr.
Overall, it was a very relaxed, engaging, and positive experience. I had no financial background so most of the interview was based on my experience working with people and how I have helped others accomplish their goals. They used my resume as a guide to asking me questions. It felt more like a conversation than a formal interview, which was very refreshing. Ultimately, I was one of the final candidates, but didn't get the job because the other final candidate had the financial background and they needed someone to jump right in because it was a smaller office. Still, it was a great interview experience. I think the digital video interview was the most intimidating portion of the process because I had never done one before, but they give you time to practice and figure the system out so you could be prepared to record your responses.
