I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Salt Lake City, UT) in Apr 2021
Interview
my profile was submitted through a resourcing firm, I got an invitation for the managerial round. This round of interview went well then recruiter scheduled a technical round with panel.
I am very upset the way this interview was conducted. 2 out of 3 interviewer were rude and unprofessional. At the the start a director level guy gave me a introduction and ask other 2 folks to give their introduction and then I gave my introduction. After this he told one of the guy to start interview, that guys asked me only one question - "Do you have Java 8 experience" I answered I don't have Java 8 experience but I have good experience in java 6 and 7 then this guy told me that I am done from my side, then that senior guy interuppted here and asked him to ask some questions on aws and other tech stuffs. Then this guy asked some basic open ended aws question for example - how geo targeting works in aws, how we can implement IAM policies, then third guys asked me question about the S3 and its access related questions and he was rude as well.
I got a feedback from resourcing firm that I dont have good Java and AWS experience and that's the reason fidelity team rejected me.
I didn't mention Java 8 in my resume so why they shortlisted my resume for this position and as far as AWS knowledge I have more knowledge than these two interviewers.
I applied online. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Dublin, Dublin) in Jul 2020
Interview
Waste of time, you are just a number.
About a month to receive and do HireVue video answers for 7 java/javascript questions (design paterrns, microservices, abstract classes, === )
Then a few weeks later an hour long zoom interview with 4 managers due to covid not in office, general behavioural questions with few java questions thrown in (singleton, interfaces, design patterns)
Weeks later no feedback no communication. Interviewers seems over worked and impatient to move on, just ticking their daily quota.
In hindsight I think it could have dodged a bullet there, as the impression I got is that they are about a decade behind rest of industry technology wise with a lot of bureaucracy strangling innovation. You could see the lack of enthusiasm in interviewers and how HireVue is being used to depersonalise the whole process further.

Question 1
behavioural questions (tell about last job, why Fidelity? what you like dislike about past job, describe your day)
java questions thrown in (singleton, interfaces, abstract)
java/javascript questions (design patterns, why microservices, abstract classes, === vs == in javascript)
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Bengaluru) in Jun 2020
Interview
Started like a charm ended in a disaster and waste of time.
Started of as a charm , Had three rounds of interviews.
Recruiter was ok with salary.
1. On Zoom (With Hiring Manager) I was reluctant because their requirement was Python but He Suggested thou they need python but still they would like to go with a Java Developer with cloud.
2. Technical round where the guy asked me everything related to microservices implementation and deployments (professional and good)
3. Managerial round ( He behaved as if he is very happy and discussions were more on the behavorial aspects) This round made me hopefull.
Then the dreaded waiting period , I was informed I am on hold while they are searching for candidates with better match. I asume this had nothing to do with my technical fit but more in the salary fit side.
Suggestion to friends :- Feel free to ignore this company. Please respect your resume and your career. Do not waste your time like I did waiting for them to interview other candidates(mostly delaying things till they find a candidate with lower salary !).
I had a very bad experience and I felt disrespected I will suggest others to not go down that lane.
Luckily I had another offer and I moved on .
