I was asked to introduce myself. Other basic questions were asked about routing, tcp/ip, sql, ssl etc.
I did not get any reply from the HR after the interview.
The atmosphere created during the interview was not very friendly.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fortinet (Burnaby, BC) in Jul 2019
Interview
This position is formally known as junior support engineer.
I had two rounds of interviews. First one consisted of a one-hour technical written exam + 2 hour in person interview with three managers. Second round consisted of a 20-minute technical written exam + 1 hour in person interview with three managers and a HR member.
I made it to the second round but failed to get an offer. But I really really appreciate the fact that Clyde Fang phoned me to inform me the result. He also told me how my competitor ( the other candidate who also made to the second round) was able to answer the questions that I wasn't able to answer. He went over my interview performance and gave me tips on how to improve myself. Yes, I am extremely disappointed at myself for not able to get to job because I really wanted to start a career here. But again, I really appreciate Clyde Fang for going the extra mile to delivered the result and explained the situation to me on the phone. I felt respected. Thanks for this great opportunity to better myself and to learn from my mistakes.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fortinet (Sunnyvale, CA) in Apr 2019
Interview
The interview process was very smooth and the HR always provided quick updates about the process. The first round was a technical screen over the phone. After that there were two onsite technical interviews (each day of onsite interview took about 3 hours). The entire process took 3 weeks
