I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fortinet
Interview
The interview was god, a little exhausting because of all the technical questions. the whole interview seemed like a test. The manager was nice, the first part of the call was only to know more about me and the second one contains escenario based questions to demonstrate how you would behave in the position.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fortinet in Dec 2021
Interview
It was a chinese conversation. It went for about 1 hour and a bit more. Very technical with a lot of TCP/IP related questions. Overall a little rush as many questions were asked with almost no behaviour questions at all.

Question 1
What do you know behind the scenes when you type a website, describe it with all you know.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Fortinet (Dallas, TX) in Nov 2022
Interview
What a joke. I was given an initial screening by a recruiter who makes sure all the boxes are checked and then the hiring manager sends a personality assessment. Even though it is mentioned that the personality test is one aspect of the hiring process, if you don’t get a “favorable score” then the hiring manager won’t even talk to you. I have experience in this vertical, multiple years experience in sales, and higher education…yet my competence was measured by a generic personality test. Truly haven’t had one of those sent to me as a deciding factor in my competence level since I was a receptionist in college. It’s truly pathetic and quite frankly, shows me that I’ve dodged a bullet and that the company prefers sheep over strategic business-minded sales reps.
