      Graduate Business Technology Consultant Interview

      Apr 6, 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Bracknell, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fujitsu (Bracknell, England) in Feb 2019

      Interview

Step one: SJT (Situational Judgement Tests) - A straightforward test to assess you as a person in a series of hypothetical situations, it would be worth looking into the company values and what they expect from candidates to help you pass although it's not very hard at all. Step two: Psychometrics tests Standards numerical and literacy testing nothing too intense, was easy enough to pass. Step 3: Video Interview Again, nothing too intense from memory these were strengths based and some hypothetic situations are asked. Keep in mind company values when you're answering. Step 5: Assessment centre The day is actually very relaxed, I have been to assessment centre for big companies i.e Google, Amazon and this was by far the most relaxed and welcoming experience, staff are really friendly and approachable, there is no 'us' and 'them' atmosphere they try their best to make you feel relaxed and approach you during break times to chat it definitely helps on the day to network and learn more. For the first part a presentation from Fujitsu is given, afterwards a introduction to some of the current employees from various departments and an introduction to graduates of recent year cohorts. In the first group task they are looking for good communication and team-working skills here. Second group task was a 'hacker' task, you had to find out various information about a fictional person they have created to discover information about this person and eventually their password. Here they are looking for your problem solving skills and approach to tasks. Individual presentation came afterward, there is a hiring manager and two assessors in the room - it is not as daunting as it sounds. Just remember to relax, speak clearly and make sure you are proving eye contact keeping everybody involved and up to speed. Half of the candidates are sent home who were unsuccessful and the other half are progressed to final stage interviews, this interview is to really home in on your suitability to the role so make sure you understand the role, the company and what is expected of you. Don't be afraid to ask questions it's a unique time to be with a hiring manager one on one so make the most of it.
