I applied online. I interviewed at G-Research (London, England) in Apr 2021
Interview
In all cases the interviewers seem quite nice except for one person who sat in watching and never introduced themselves.
First round was a 1 hour with a ~30min programming exercise and general chat about my experience.
Second round was supposed to be 3 one hour sessions but after two they had already decided to not bother finishing up and gave no feedback as to why. This seems in keeping with other reviews here so don't be surprised if it happens.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at G-Research
Interview
Approached by a recruiter then arranged a phone interview with an engineer in the company.
Phone interview was terrible - the interview was late, didn't break the ice or really introduce themselves and just launched into a series of quick fire questions with a tone of voice making it sound as if they'd rather be doing anything else. This was then followed by a simple coding test.
Overall an off putting experience (as were some of the responses to questions I asked about engineering which I can't tell the answers to)
