I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Dubai) in Aug 2025
Interview
Terrible, I did not believe the reviews and I found out for myself the interview style and flow was really terrible. Having worked in Tech sales for 17 years I have experience with Google Cloud, Box.com and Riverbed. This interview style was the worst. Don't want to go into details so I am not wasting any further time on Gartner, but hands down the worst ever experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
STAR style Q&A. "do not tell me too much because I have to have an opportunity to fish out information from you, if you tell me before I ask you a question I can't ask my question anymore"
The process consists of five stages. It begins with the initial call, followed by a follow-up to ensure clarity. The third stage is a presentation where you present your ideas or solutions. Throughout these stages, it’s essential to ask lots of questions to understand the client’s needs thoroughly and to tailor your approach accordingly. Engaging with thoughtful inquiries will not only provide insight into their expectations but also foster stronger communication. This approach ensures you're well-prepared, enabling you to address any concerns and offer solutions that align with their objectives. Each step helps build rapport and trust.
A lot of prep with recruiter. 4 stages, 1 telephone interview, 1 with recruiter, 1 with different more senior recruiter, last one with VP and manager and recruiter. Got two prep calls before interviews. Got case study the last 3 interviews. About 45 minutes - 1 hr interviews.
