The process lasted from August 2022 to January 2023. Yes, you read it well. They seemed to be filling a pipeline of candidates and, for reasons I then understood, needed backups when people left.
I went through many interviews and did a panel interview that was not 100% to their liking, then got invited to a new panel and was severely bullied by a VP (Kabir Seth ) in one of the most uncomfortable interviews of my life. They say they want to test candidates to simulate real-life business situations, I have been in tough negotiations and no one bullied me like Mr Seth did. Basically confronting every single thing that I said. I ended dropping out mid-panel as I understood I would never enjoy working there. It was so violent .
Worst about it is that I know I would have done a great job (also admitted by the recruiter) but apparently could not withstand plain bullying.
My process dragged, stopped, and restarted at the company's convenience. I only tagged along because I disliked where I was at that. moment- but had no rush.
The recruiter was nice and supportive but the rest was traumatizing. The preparation for the interviews with different people are OK. Still, there are particularities: you have to talk all the time in a specific way (the rule of 3) and ask feedback about how you are doing every 15 min, which gets awkward.
I have since been contacted by other recruiters at Gartner and... never again.
